Walk out the door, catch a ride on the ski van up to Garnet Hill Lodge, and cross-country ski back to the Carriage House through the spectacular scenery of the groomed trails. Or.... Snowshoes are provided for a quiet walk through the trails of the Carriage House's 50 acre estate. Relax at the end of the day with a leisurely hot soak in the whirlpool tub. Spring is whitewater rafting season, with two rafting companies within walking distance. Hiking, fishing, canoeing and mountain biking are popular Springtime activities, all nearby. The summer season provides a multitude of activities on nearby 13th Lake: canoeing, swimming, fishing, and hiking the surrounding mountain trails. A canoe is provided for guests of the Carriage House. The bustling towns of Lake George and Saratoga Springs, and several golf courses, are just a short drive away. In Fall ride the Gore Mountain gondola or take a day hike for a magnificent view of the High Peaks and glorious autumn foliage.
